Help Us Make a Difference in the Lives of Children and Youth in Foster Care

Children in foster care and kinship care often experience significant adversity, including trauma, educational disruptions, housing instability, and limited access to supportive relationships. Many have experienced multiple placements, resulting in interrupted learning, emotional distress, and diminished opportunities to thrive academically and socially.

Kinship caregivers, often grandparents or relatives unexpectedly raising children—frequently assume caregiving responsibilities with limited financial resources, insufficient support, and little preparation for navigating complex child welfare and educational systems.

While agencies provide critical child protection services, there remains a substantial need for community-based organizations that can provide educational support, mentoring, family engagement, and practical resources that strengthen both children and caregivers.
Ebony Pearls Foundation seeks to bridge these gaps by creating a comprehensive initiative that promotes stability, resilience, academic achievement, and long-term success for children living in foster and kinship care.

Ebony Pearls Foundation, Inc. is seeking caring and committed volunteers for our Foster Care: From Here to Hope project, funded through a grant from Volunteer Mississippi.
We are looking for volunteers who are ready to give their time, talents, and encouragement to help children and youth in foster care feel supported, valued, and hopeful about their future.
