Scholarship Fund

When Ebony Pearls Foundation, Incorporated was established in 1998, its primary focus was promoting education and advancement through programs supporting local youth.  In partnership with Rho Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Ebony Pearls has provided scholarships to graduating seniors in the Jackson, Mississippi, metropolitan area each year since its inception. Through the generosity of supporters like you, over $50,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving students in the past five years alone.  The foundation remains committed to its mission of “serv[ing] as a catalyst for scholarships” and “enhancing [ing] the quality of life by providing access to necessary resources.”

Ebony Pearls invite your financial support of this year’s scholarship program. Proceeds raised will fund the awarding of annual spring scholarships to high school seniors in Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties.  The doors opened by these scholarships will continue to allow generations of young students to flourish.  Our scholarship recipients have become engineers, healthcare professionals, lawyers, entrepreneurs, educators, and more.  Your gift will be recognized by our students, their families, and our members as an investment in their academic success and the advancement of our community.

Gifting opportunities are available at various levels, from $1 to $1000.  A $500 gift will fund a book scholarship, while a $1000 gift will fund an education scholarship.  Funding a book or education scholarship will afford you a plethora of benefits, from listing in the program to naming opportunities to selecting specific scholarship criteria, depending on the level of funding you choose.

We hope you will consider funding a scholarship to educate, enrich and empower students by improving their access to higher education.   The potential for a positive impact on the lives of local youth through scholarship funding cannot be overstated.
